Dr. Im is currently a post-doctor at the Cell Factory center of Korea Research Institute of Bioscience and Biotechnology (KRIBB). Before joining the KRIBB, he was a research at the Research Division for Biotechnology of Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute (KAERI). He completed his Ph.D. in the Biochemical Engineering laboratory at the Chonnam National University. He has focused on the Characteristics of the radio-resistant bacterium; particularly, he has contributed on the Mechanisms of stress resistance and gene regulation in the radio-resistant bacterium Deinococcus radiodurans.
