Dr. Yeom is currently a Professor in School of Biological Sciences and Technology of Chonnam National University, Korea. Yeom was a senior researcher at Synthetic Biology and Bioengineering Research Center, KRIBB, Korea from January 2013 to August 2019. Before joining the KRIBB, she was a post-doctoral researcher in the Claudia’s lab at the Institute of Biotechnology of University of Minnesota. She completed her Ph.D. in the molecular enzyme engineering laboratory at the Konkuk University in Seoul, Korea. She has focused on the synthetic biology based enzyme engineering and screening of new biocatalyst. Her research field is highly interested in the directed evolution for achieving desired enzyme functions using transcriptional regulator based biosensor based HTS. As of August 2019, she published 55 scientific articles, and 19 patents.
