Prof. Jung is currently an assistant professor at the Division of Biotechnology of Korea University since 2017, Korea. Before joining the Korea University, he was a Research Engineering/Scientist Associate in the Ellington lab at the Department of Molecular Biosciences of University of Texas at Austin. He completed his Ph.D. in the biochip and biodevice laboratory at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST). He has focused on the biosensors utilizing nucleic acids; particularly, he has contributed on the development of new isothermal amplification methods for diagnosis. His research group is highly interested in the simple and efficient assays for nucleic acids diagnosis, DNA nanotechnology such as DNA computation and DNA walker and development of high-throughput platform to profile the binding affinity between DNA and protein. As of August 2018, he published over 35 scientific articles, 12 patents, and gave over 40 scientific presentations at the international conferences and the invited seminars.
