Dr. Yoon is currently a principal researcher at the Korea Institute of Industrial Technology (KITECH) since 2008, Korea. Before joining the KITECH, he was a BK research professor at the Konkuk University and a JSPS post-doctoral fellow at the University of Tokyo. He completed his Ph.D. in the wood biochemistry laboratory at the Kyoto University. He has focused on the biological production of fuels and chemicals from biomass. Recently, he has working on research about the production of bio-hydrogen and biopolymer from waste biomass using bioprocess and the research is carried with the budget of about 4 billion won from the Korean government’s R&D programs (the National Research Foundation (NRF) and the Ministry of Trade, Industry & Energy (MOTIE)). As of October 2018, he has published over 50 scientific articles and has 23 patents and 10 technology transfers.
