Tae Hyeon Yoo is Associate Professor at Ajou University, Korea. Yoo was educated at Seoul National University and the California Institute of Technology, where he earned his Ph.D. for research done under the supervision of David A. Tirrell. After a postdoctoral research with George Georgiou at the University of Texas at Austin, Yoo accepted an assistant professorship in the Department of Applied Chemistry and Biological Engineering at Ajou University in the fall of 2011. Yoo was also employed as researcher at GreenCross Corporation from 1998 to 2003. Yoo's research interests are to generate novel and useful biological systems by utilizing protein engineering approaches for applications in therapeutics, microbial cell factories, cell engineering and biosensors.
