Dr. Lee is currently a senior researcher at the Center for Bio-based Chemistry of Korea Research Institute of Chemical Technology (KRICT) since, 2016, Korea. Before joining the KRICT, she was a research staff member in the Biomaterials laboratory at the Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology (SAIT), Korea. She completed her Ph.D. in the Genome and Peptide engineering laboratory at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST). She has focused on the development of efficient cell factories for sustainable production of high-value chemicals, fuels, pharmaceuticals, and therapeutics, by the modification of existing – or the introduction of entirely new – metabolic pathways.
