Prof. Kim is currently an assistant professor at the Division of Integrative Biosciences and Biotechnology (IBB) of Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH), Korea. Before joining POSTECH, he was a postdoctoral scholar in the Yin lab at the Wyss Institute of Harvard University. He completed his Ph.D. in biology at California Institute of Technology. He has focused on the synthetic biology of microorganisms; particularly, he has contributed to the construction of complex logic circuits using riboregulators in microorganisms. His research group is highly interested in the determination of design principles of riboregulators in bacteria and other organisms, which could be utilized for novel synthetic regulatory circuits.
