Dr. Song is a postdoctoral researcher in Systems and Synthetic Biology Lab, Korea Advanced Institute Science and Technology (KAIST), Republic of Korea. Yoseb Song majored in Biochemistry and Cell Biology in University of California San Diego. After obtaining B.S. he, then, received a Ph.D. in Biological Engineering from KAIST, where he studied system biology to analyze carbon dioxide fixing microorganism and synthetic biology to modify the organism for enhancing biochemical production. During the Ph.D. course, he was involved in publishing 15 papers, which focus on revealing genome, transcriptome, and translatome of bacteria, and received Best Paper award from KAIST in 2019. In addition, he collaborated with research teams in University of California San Diego, University of Toulouse (France), and Nottingham University (U.K.). Currently, his research focuses on understanding central dogma and the associated regulation in CO2 fixing bacteria to produce biochemicals using the obtained knowledge from the organism.
