Prof. Min-Kyu Oh is a professor at the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering of Korea University since 2004 and an adjunct professor of Anam Hospital of Korea University. He completed his Ph.D. at James C. Liao’s laboratory in UCLA at 2001 and worked in Cedars Sinai Hospital as a research associate. His research interests are metabolic engineering, fluxomics, and synthetic biology. Particularly, he has contributed on strain development of 2,3-butanediol production using lignocellulosic biomass as a carbon source. Now he is expanding his research interests to utilizing diverse carbon source, such as formate, or producing bioactive secondary metabolites. As of 2019, he published over 115 scientific articles and 15 registered patents.
