Prof. Eun Yeol LEE obtained his bachelor in 1989 from Seoul National University. He got his Ph.D. in 1995 from Seoul National University. He visited Microbiology Institute at Goettingen University (Germany), Industrial Microbiology and Food Biotechnology Institute at Wageningen University (The Netherlands) and Biomedical Engineering Department at Cornell University (USA) as visiting scholar. He was a senior researcher at Samsung Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, and then an associate professor of Department of Food Science and Biotechnology at Kyungsung University. Currently, he is a professor of Chemical Engineering Department at Kyung Hee University. His research interests are Metabolic Engineering, Nanobiocatalysis, and Biorefinery for the production of Biofuels, Biochemicals and Biomaterials from biomass waste including glycerol and lignin, third-generation biomass (macro-/microalgae) and gas substrates such as methane and carbon dioxide.
