Byung-Gee Kim is Professor of School of Chemical and Biological Engineering, Institute of Molecular Biology and Genetics, and Institute of Bioengineering at Seoul National University since 1991. He obtained his Ph.D. in Food Science and Technology at Cornell University. Before he joined SNU, he worked as a research scientist at Genencor International Co. for three years. He was the President of the Korean Society for Biotechnology and Bioengineering (KSBB in 2014), Director of Korea Bio-Hub center (2008-2009), Director of Institute of Bioengineering (2005). Prof. Kim has published 310 scientific research publications and 70 patents. His research focuses on the field of biocatalysis and enzyme reaction engineering, and proteomics and application of mass spectrometry.
