Dr. Hyewon Lee is the researcher of the Synthetic Biology and Bioengineering Research Center at the Korea Research Institute Bioscience and Biotechnology (KRIBB). She received B.S.(2005) and M.S.(2007) degree in Chemical and Biological Engineering from Korea University (Seoul, Korea), and Ph.D. degree in Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology in 2013. After serving as postdoctoral research associate at the Department of Chemical Engineering, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, she joined the KRIBB in 2015. Her research is focused on microfluidics and biosensors in molecular diagnostics (microRNA sensing), high-throughput screening (microbes, C. elegans, drugs), enzyme engineering, and single-cell analysis.
