Dr. Yang is currently a research fellow at the Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH) since 2018, Korea. Before joining the POSTECH, he was a post. doc in the Serrano lab at the Systems biology department of Center for Genomic Regulation (CRG), Barcelona, Spain. He completed his Ph.D. in the structural bioinformatics lab at the POSTECH. He has focused on the systems and synthetic biology of microorganisms; particularly, he has contributed on the understanding of microbial transcriptional and translational system. He is highly interested in the characterization of DNA sequences that can control translation and transcription in bacteria. As of August 2018, he published 40 scientific articles. He has been awarded research fellowship from National Research Foundation of Korea.
