Postdoctoral research associate / Korea Research Institute of Bioscience & Biotechnology

Dr. Kim is currently a postdoctoral research associate at the Synthetic Biology and Bioengineering Research Center of Korea Research Institute of Bioscience & Biotechnology (KRIBB) since 2018. Before joining the KRIBB, she was a postdoctoral research associate in department of Environmental, Energy and Chemical Engineering at Washington University in St. Louis, USA and Center for Food and Bioconvergence at Seoul National University, Korea. She completed his Ph.D. in the Biomolecular Engineering Laboratory at the Seoul National University in 2014. She has focused on the metabolic engineering and synthetic biology of microorganisms. Particularly, she has been working on research about production of value-added chemicals (2,3-butanediol and bio-ethanol) in engineered S. cerevisiae and characterization of antisense RNA behavior in Escherichia coli.
