Dr. Xue is a member of the NUS Synthetic Biology for Clinical and Technological Innovation (SynCTI) research program, and a senior research fellow at the Department of Biochemistry, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. His ongoing projects involve characterization and structure-guided design of enzymes with potentials for translational & industrial applications. Before joining SynCTI in 2017, he was a research scientist at the Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology (IMCB), A*STAR, Singapore, studying actin-related cytoskeletal proteins and managing IMCB’s X-ray crystallography facility. He obtained his Ph.D. in biochemical engineering at Tianjin University, China, focusing on adsorbent development and process simulation for protein chromatography.
