Dr Toya is an associate professor of metabolic engineering laboratory, Department of Bioinformatic Engineering, Graduate School of Information Science and Technology, Osaka University. Toya obtained a Ph.D. degree from Keio University in 2010 where he studied metabolism of Escherichia coli using 13C-metabolic flux analysis. He got his postdoctoral training in Osaka University, where he worked on metabolic engineering of Bacillus subtilis. He promoted an assistant professor of Graduate School of Information Science and Technology, where he worked on flux controlling of the central carbon metabolism based on metabolic engineering and synthetic biology approaches.
