Prof. Ishikawa is currently an assistant professor at the Department of Biomolecular Engineering of Nagoya University since 2016. Before being appointed at the current position, he was a project assistant professor in the Kazuhito Hashimoto lab at the University of Tokyo. He was trained under the supervision of Prof. Katsutoshi Hori and received Ph.D. from Nagoya University in 2012. Recently, he has focused on metabolic engineering of methanotrophic bacteria for methane-based bioproduction, understanding of secretion pathway of bacterial surface proteins, controlling of intracellular redox by electrochemical method, and understating of relationship between intracellular redox and circadian clock.
