Ping Wei is currently an assistant professor at the Center for Quantitative Biology, Peking University. He received B.S. in Microbiology at Nankai University in 2002 and Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry at Peking University in 2007. He then did his postdoctoral research of synthetic biology in Professor Wendell Lim’s lab at University of California, San Francisco. In July 2013, he joined in Center for Quantitative Biology and School of Life Sciences, Peking University as an assistant professor. Dr. Wei’s lab focuses on using synthetic biology approach to understand the principles of cellular information process, and design custom-ordered cell function.
