Dr. Luo is currently a PI at the State Key Laboratory of Biotherapy of Sichuan University since 2015, China. Dr. Yunzi Luo obtained her Ph.D. in 2014 from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) under the supervision of Professor Huimin Zhao. Her research interests focus on discovery and developing new genetic editing tools and the application of those synthetic biology tools in the natural products discovery and biotherapy fields. Up to now, she has co-authored 14 publications and received Chia-Chen Chu Fellowship and Widiger Graduate Fellowship.
