Prof. Hou is a Professor in State Key Laboratory of Microbial Technology, Shandong University. Hou obtained the Ph.D. degree in Shandong University, and visited Technical University of Denmark as guest Ph.D. During her Ph.D study, she developed very useful cofactor engineering strategies in yeast which have been applied in many products synthesis; she did her postdoctoral research in Chalmers University of Technology under Prof. Jens Nielsen’s supervision , where she worked on protein secretory pathway engineering and protein production in yeast. Right now she is working on yeast metabolic engineering and synthetic biology tools development.
