Prof. Zhang is a professor in School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Shihezi Universiy,.the committee member of Synthetic Biology Specialized Committee in Chinese Society of Bioengineering. Zhang obtained a Ph.D. in Biochemical Engineering from Beijing Institute of Technology. His research goal is to construct synthetic yeast terminator to regulate gene expression, and to engineer yeast cells for synthesizing natural products. He is the recipients of several academic awards, e.g. the Ministry of Education Technology Invention Award, the Gold Award of International Genetic Engineering Machine Competition.
